Pull-ups are consider one of the exercise for your back muscle groups , it target a lot of muscle like your lat and your biceps and also your forearm .But the main muscle its your lats,by now maybe you are asking what its the lats muscle and here's picture to make things clear :
so that big muscle with is colored by the blue is the lats and as you can see is the biggest muscle in the back and it's the main muscle that make have that V shape back when you grow it .
After this little information about the back muscles let's go back to our subject the pull-up ,if you dot more frequent you can build a solid wide back that you've been dream about and by more frequent i mean 3 to 4 times a week .
Begin with a few reps and if you can't do it ask some to help and by the time you will use to them because practice it's the key and progression , add some extra reps every time until you can do 12 or even 10 after that do it in set like example a 3 set of 12 or 4 set of 10 , and do forget if can't do it at the beginning it's not a problem at all just keep going because after just a few weeks you'll get better and better and stronger and you start to notice the result in your shape mainly you back what you are looking for .
after you get use it and this step might take few weeks but it's ok begin to progress in your workout routine be creative like example do some weighted pull-up it's sound bit hard do something else just be creative and consistency is the major key .
Last advises for the muscles you should always watch your food eat healthy food more protein to gain extra muscles and the rest do forget to rest because the muscle are growing in the rest days and even if you are in the rest day keep eating healthy and stick to a diet that you can be eating for a long period .
