First of all as what this article about the over head press make your delts to grow bigger stronger because when you push the weight over your head you are engaging you front and middle shoulders parts (he anterior/medial deltoids) and also balance your shoulder in the aspect of strength and if you do it with a barbell it make harder .

No one will argue that the over head press build a impressive strength for the body part and also the ability to generate power will be increased also when you are performing the over head press you are fully extend your elbows and that helps you for building a lockout strength that mean the ability to push in the heavy push exercises like bench press or in other word , the better you are in the over head press the stronger you are in bench press .

The over head press will not only strengthen your core but in addition it will strengthen your lower back (the lumber part)
, by resistant to hypertension when the weight is over your head this help to have a solid lower back and make balance between the core and the lower back and may prevent the lower back pain problem .
